# Update your account (/api/accounts/update-account)

`POST https://api.comecero.com/api/v1/accounts/{account_id}`

Changes your company and contact details or your alias. Only the fields you send change. `live` and `closed` are set by Comecero and are ignored here. Fires the `account:modified` event. This needs a live token: a test token gets `400` with the code `token_type_mismatch`. Live secret and trusted tokens may call this with the `accounts` update permission.

## Parameters

- `expand` (query): Comma-separated child objects to return in full instead of as a URL, for example `customer,payments`. Use dot notation for nested objects (`items.product`), up to four levels deep. A single object takes up to 12 paths; a list takes up to 2, applied to every item.
