Update a shipping method

/shipping_methods/{shipping_method_id}

Changes a shipping method. Only the fields you send are changed, but the request is checked as a whole method: it must hold description, countries and exactly one of the three configs, even when you change only one of them. The id does not change. Secret and trusted tokens may call it.

Comma-separated fields to return; all others are left out. Use dot notation for child fields (customer.email). You cannot send show and hide together (400). See Customizing output.

formatted?boolean

When true, the object also has a formatted child with amounts and dates as display text in the shopper's language and currency (for example $19.99 or November 7, 2026). The default is false. See Localized formatting.

Get a shipping method GET

Returns one shipping method. An id that does not exist does not return `404`: it returns `200` with an empty object whose `shipping_method_id` is null, so check that field. Secret and trusted tokens may call it.

Delete a shipping method DELETE

Removes a shipping method for good. Shoppers can no longer pick it. Secret and trusted tokens may call it.
